My name is Sue Urquhart and I am an experienced and accredited practitioner of the Bowen technique. Having trained at the College of Bowen, I consult from my home at Birchill, which lies between Chard and Axminster.
After qualifying as a veterinary surgeon in 1979 I practiced as a small animal vet for 36 years having my own clinic in Edinburgh.
I came across the Bowen Technique when a client told me about her experience of Bowen on her lame dog who improved greatly after the treatment when conventional anti-inflammatories and pain relieving drugs had failed. After researching Bowen, I realised that it has a place in pain control and general wellbeing by reducing the dependency that many people have on prescribed medications.
After retiring as a vet, I retrained as a Bowen therapist and I’m still constantly amazed by the positive results Bowen can give for numerous medical conditions.
